Previously we covered how to <\/span>integrate EmbedID into a sample app<\/span><\/a>, a tutorial to walk you through the steps to verify identities with a multi-layered approach on your localhost. This tutorial walks you through the steps to get your identity verification results when submitting the test data via this sample app.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will need these tools.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. Any code or text editor<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n

  5. Postman (free)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Step 1: Setup the sample app<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Complete setup of  a sample application following these steps.<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Step 2: Get your browser in developer mode so you can see the console<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. To access the developer console in Chrome on Windows, use the menu on the right of the window, and choose <\/span> More tools > Developer tools> and navigate to the Console. The exact path may be a bit different depending on your browser version

        <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. You\u2019ll see the console appear on your screen and you should see the output from the page, index.html, appear in the console. If you don\u2019t, just reload the page to see it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Step 3: Complete the registration form<\/b>
        <\/b>We have included a set of test identities you can use to test EmbedID to deliver either a verified (match) or not verified (nomatch) verification result.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Select a test identity below from the Verified group.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Copy and paste the corresponding fields to complete the registration form.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Click <\/span>Submit<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          TIP: The form dynamically changes the structure of the address based on the country selected to optimize proper data collection.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

          Step 4: Capture ID document<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \n
          1. Using your phone follow the instructions to scan the <\/span>QR code<\/b>. This allows for the ID document capture to continue on your mobile device producing a better quality image.

          2. Proceed with the form on your phone, but keep the browser open.  The images you submit will appear here
            \"SubmitOn your phone:<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. Select the country of your ID document<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
          4. Select the type of ID document you will submit. For this example let\u2019s select a driving license. For this sandbox environment you can capture any rectangular shape item, it will not be submitted for a real authentication check.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
          5. Follow the instructions and capture the front and back side of the sample ID document. <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
          6. Once the images submitted, you can see them in the form at your index.html<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
          7. Click <\/span>Next <\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            TIP: In addition to producing higher quality images, requiring document collection on a mobile device reduces the opportunity for bad actors to submit digitally constructed ID documents.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

            Step 5: Take a selfie<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              \n
            1. Now follow the instruction to take a selfie.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
            2. Place your face inside the oval<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
            3. Smile and\/or move your face per the instructions for liveness detection.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
            4. When your selfie is captured click <\/span>Confirm <\/b>to proceed<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
            5. Switch back to the index.html<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
            6. You should see there
              <\/span>a) Image of the front of your ID document
              <\/span>b) Image of the back of your ID document
              <\/span>c) Your selfie<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
            7. Click <\/span>Next <\/b>to submit the data, complete your verification transaction  and generate the experience transaction ID (TRID)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              Step 6: Find the TRID in the console <\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              1. In the console, under @handleResponse  you can now see a new line {experienceTransactionId: “21c5e92ea34e495ea1c4f824a70a1388”} in this example . <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
              2. This is the ID generated for the transaction completed in the previous step<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                TIP: Every time the data is submitted through your identity verification flow , the unique experienceTransactionId is generated. You can call Trulioo API and retrieve details of this transaction, such as the data submitted, datasources called and the  verification result<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

                Step 7:  Get Verification Results in postmant<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                1. In this steps we will retrieve the verification results using the Trulioo  API<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
                2. Open Postman<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
                3. Create New > Request <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
                4. Paste this URL
                  https:\/\/gateway.trulioo.com\/experienceTransaction\/<TRID>\/detailedResult<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
                5. Make sure GET is selected <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
                6. Go to Headers<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
                7. Add Key:  \u201cx-trulioo-api-key\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
                8. \u201cValue\u201d will be your EmbedID API KEY (  Go back to repl.it and copy the key you have pasted for const truliooApiKey =\u201d\u201d earlier , following the step 3 from here<\/a>  )

                9. In the URL let\u2019s replace the <TRID> with the Experience Transaction ID from the verification<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                10. In  the index.htm , find {experienceTransactionId} in the console<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
                11. Copy everything inside the \u201c \u201d quotes ,21c5e92ea34e495ea1c4f824a70a1388, in this example and past it instead of <TRID>  in the URL<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
                12. Now everything is set up to retrieve the verification results. Click \u201cSend\u201d and scroll down to see the body of the response
